Contribution to Linux:

In the past nine years IIRA Technologies has proved its worth in the field of Linux and Open Source, being one of the few company to adopt this operating system around Eight years back and then remain consistent in the field of Linux provide us the status of Linux Expert. As learning is a continuous process and over the years apart from Linux, IIRA Technologies has developed its expertise on various others Linux based products as Open Office, K-Develop, Eclipse, Websphere, Lotus Domino, Web-Logic, Tivoli, DB2 etc. Some of the fruitful activities in the past years are as follows:

• We are appointed and adjudged as “Blue Linux Ambassador” by IBM (India) in the year 2006. In this program IIRA Technologies had developed 12 open source projects and provided training all over India on DB2, Eclipse and WAS-CE.

• Trained more than 20000 engineering professionals on DB2, WAS-CE, Eclipse all over India on behalf of IBM.

• DOEACC: Work Closely and solely with DOEACC under the guidance of Dr. P N Gupta, Executive Director DOEACC to introduce Linux in O and A level of DOEACC.

• Nominations: Nominated for First Dewang Mehta Award for innovation in IT and reached up to final round.

• Platform Migration at Sonic Biochem – Indore, includes Mailing Solution, Server Installation, Desktop Installation, Help Desk, all on open source.

• Platform Migration at Authbridge – Gurgaon, includes Mailing Solution, Server Installation, all on open source

• Organized a Symposium on Linux in Faridabad (Haryana), where the speakers are the technical experts from various Linux streams, which includes professional from KDE, Python etc. The participants are from various engineering colleges including lecturers and students, as it was the first symposium of its kind.

• We had organized seminars in Apeejay College Jalandhar (Punjab), on the emerging trends of Linux and its future. The same kind of seminar was also organized in one of the engineering College Jodhpur (Rajasthan) that also shows the organization presence in northern India.

• Linux Training in Corporate Sector: IIRA Technologies had also provided training in the corporate sector that too in both form that is online as well as on site. Some of the highly technical trainings to varied corporate units are as follows:

  • Training to trainers of ITT University

  • Training on Hacking Techniques using Linux

  • Training to Course Development Team of Linux in NIIT Ltd.

• In the last few years IIRA Technologies enters into tie-up with few Engineering Institutes to provide Linux training. We had conducted onsite Linux training to DAV Engineering College Jalandhar, BBSB Engineering College Sarhind, BRCM college of Engineering and Management Bhiwani, Govt. Polytechnic College Bikaner.
